Loving God,

With whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid, we come to you in prayer because you have already come to us by your Spirit to move us to seek you.  When you seem far away, we know you are yet nearer to us than hands or feet or breathing itself.  We pray for Mrs. Miller, asking that you give her strength and courage to face this illness with faith and hope. We pray for the members of the health-care team as they care for Mrs. Miller.  Grant them wisdom and healing power.  Enable us to see more clearly the things that are really important in life: love for you, our God, and love for one another.  We pray through Christ.  AMEN.

Father in Heaven,

Lord I cry out to You today with a heavy and hurting heart.  Father, I pray that You place Your hands on my dad as he learns of his diagnosis.  God, you are the Physician of all physicians and I pray that Your name is glorified and exalted during this trying time for my dad and our entire family.  God, I ask that You keep us strong and give us courage as we put You first during this time and always.  Lord, I pray that if the diagnosis is what we fear, that you comfort us and guide us.  Father, we are thankful that You are the Jehovah Jireh, and provided my dad with one of the best doctors in the country.  Father, you are the Ultimate Healer and I pray that Your healing hands watch over my dad and his doctors during the days, weeks, and months to come.  I Jesus' name I pray.  AMEN.

Almighty Father,

Lord, I come to You today, as so  many others are, with a great need for Your healing arms to wrap around two very special people. God, I ask that You lay Your healing hands upon Fred Stubbs.  Father, as he continues to fight for his life after the motorcycle accident, I ask that you breathe Your living breath into his lungs and heal them and I also pray that You place Your hand on his broken pelvis and arm, and his legs and head trauma in the name of Jesus!  Father, You are the Jehovah Rapha, our Healer, the Physician of all physicians. Almighty Father, I pray that You not only heal Fred, but that You also utilize this time as a tool for those around Fred to come to know You as their Lord and Savior.  Lord Jesus, I also lift up my friend's aunt who is suffering from breast cancer.  Father, I ask that you show Your power as The Healer and place Your faithful, healing hands upon her and remove the cancer and bring her back to health.  God, I pray that You give her family strength and courage to make the right decisions and the ability to use this time to minister to others. Father, You are the Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we put our complete faith and trust in You.  It is You that we glorify and love.  It is in the precious name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that I pray.  AMEN.
